American Cooking Equipment got its start over 25 years ago when our founder George Sandoval found himself significantly disappointed with a fairly expensive grill purchase. While this brand name grill promised a “top-of-the-line” experience it wound up being a “bottom-of-the-barrel” product that needed repair and replacement parts within a year of being brand new.

Since 1974, George has owned and operated the same precision sheet metal fabrication company — experience he put toward building something better.

We build grills for a better way to cook outdoors — through thoughtful design, meticulous craftsmanship, and uncompromising materials. Each unit is handcrafted in the United States from premium stainless steel.

Every model features 316L marine-grade stainless steel burners and cooking grids for exceptional heat performance and unmatched corrosion resistance.

What Makes Us Different?  •

Materials

We are the only manufacturer on the market extensively using 316L surgical stainless steel. Outdoor grills are especially vulnerable to rust and corrosion caused by weather and changing climates. This is why all of our burners, cooking grids & flavor grates are manufactured using 316L surgical stainless steel. This low carbon stainless / high molybdenum steel is extremely resistant to rust and corrosion, and keeps our grills looking and working like new even in the harshest of beachside climates.

Manufacturing

Details matter. Our experienced designers have engineered our burners to resist clogging from sauces or food dripping that is all too common with many of our competitors. Each of our grills are finished, completely welded on all corners and ground smooth. Finally every single one of our grills is handcrafted and inspected prior to shipping.
